FFXIV to be released on September 30th, 2010
Looks like Square Enix has announced when FF 14 will hit retail stores. You can check out the post here. The article talks about Standard and Collector Editions, the head start, pricing and system specs as of now.

yeah I saw that also, from what I hear they want to launch in all markets at the same time. As for the servers, a co-worker told me that the Japanese seem to have there own servers, but wouldn't know for sure until they opened the beta up to more than 2 days a week.

There's a rumor that the 24/7 beta will be starting up this week, and with that more invites sent out. When I hear that has started I'll let you guys know
Also if you want to see how your system will handle FF14 there is a benchmark program that will tell you. You can find it here.
